Después de que la llama olímpica realizara un recorrido sin precedentes dentro de un mismo país, finalmente arribó a Vancouver el viernes 12 de Febrero y durante gran parte del día recorrió la ciudad hasta ingresar al BC Place, el estadio donde se llevó a cabo la ceremonia inaugural.
Este emotivo video está musicalizado con “I Believe,” interpretado por la quinceañera Nikki Yanofsky, canción impulsada por la cadena de televisión CTV y que se ha convertido en una especie de himno no oficial de estos Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno. Miles de personas a lo ancho de este país, llevaron en sus manos la moderna antorcha olímpica, diseñada y producida por la empresa Bombardier.
Vancouver 2010. The Olympic Flame finally arrived to the city
After the Olympic Flame crossed Canada from the east to the west (longest torch relay in one country) it finally arrived to Vancouver last Friday February 12th. The torch went all over the city during all day to finally enter into BC Place, the stadium where the opening ceremony was carried out.
In this very emotional video, the 15 years old Canadian singer Nikki Yanofsky sings “I Believe,” a kind of No Official Anthem for these Olympic Games, released by the television network CTV. Thousands of people, across the country, carried the modern torch designed and produced by Bombardier.
